Position Summary
The Freshman Boys Basketball Coach is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the
program. The coach will foster student-athlete development by emphasizing sportsmanship, teamwork, discipline, skill development, and academic success while ensuring compliance with school, league, and state athletic regulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Plan and conduct practices that develop individual and team skills.
Coach and supervise student-athletes during practices, games, and team activities.
Promote good sportsmanship, leadership, and positive character.
Maintain effective communication with student-athletes, parents, school administration,
and the athletic department.
Ensure the safety and well-being of all student-athletes.
Monitor student-athlete eligibility and academic progress.
Supervise assistant coaches and team personnel as assigned.
Maintain and inventory program equipment and uniforms.
Follow all school, conference, and MIAA rules, policies, and procedures.
Perform other coaching-related duties as assigned by the Athletic Director.
Qualifications
Previous coaching and/or playing experience preferred.
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
